 Application Process
Applying for admission into Mount de Chantal Visitation Academy
is a simple process. You can call (304-233-3771) or
email the Admissions Director for an application package, or
download the application here.
Mount de Chantal admits students without regard
to race, creed, ethnic origin, or religious affiliation.
The admissions process for all grades is
initiated with contact, usually a phone call, between a family
interested in their child attending Mount de Chantal and the
Mount's Admissions Director. During this contact, the Admissions
Director will ask the parent some questions in order to obtain
general information about the prospective student and their
family. An admission packet will then be mailed to the family.
If interested, the family must schedule a shadow date and mail
the preliminary paperwork (listed below) to the Mount's
Admissions Director. After the student has visited the school,
her file will be reviewed, and, if applicable, testing will be
scheduled. A final interview will be arranged for the
prospective student to meet with an Admissions Committee member.
After this is completed, a contract will be mailed to the
family.
To consider an applicant, we require the
following preliminary paperwork:
Directly from applicant:
- Completed application form
- Completed medical form
- Completed application statement by student
(1st thru 12th grades)
- Copy of applicant’s birth certificate
- Photo of applicant
- Non-refundable application fee of $25.00
- Shadow Date
- Interview and/or testing with
administration
Directly from school/teacher:
- Confidential teacher recommendation
submitted by a current teacher
- Record release form – sent directly from
current school and prior schools if applicable.
